THE FLAX

                                         THE FLAX
On Monday 1st August 2011 Hannah & Tyler measured room 5's flax it was 67cm high. The type of flax is TUKURA flax here is a description: A fine cultivar. Tall, very bendy leaves, soft but strong. Red margin and keel. Young leaves show reddish/brown shading at tips of blades. Grown in many districts  under different names. We are trying to see how far it will grow in a month. We measured all of the other classes flax plants too. We will give it some of our worm castings to see if it helps it grow stronger. We are going to sell the worm castings and the worm tea from our worm farm to help and raise funds for our school camp!
